I must admit, I am a terribly unconscientious blogger/website-maintainer. Hopefully, in a month or three I will be able to check back on this post and be proud of my growth.
Question: how do I build a career as a composer without constantly maintaining a social media presence? (COMMENT your ideas below, I am keen to hear them!)
Well, I'll start with prayer. I have a few other simmering thoughts concerning this issue, but I'd rather write a piece for vocal ensemble right now. I have an idea, inspired by the lively discussion about our department's available tam-tams. It has little to do with the instrument, an much to do with the size. Thank-you @AntoniSchonken and @ArthurFeder and my fellow composition students for an inspiring discussion on Berio's Sinfonia today!
Here are some photos so that I feel like I have posted something more than posting about not wanting to post. The beauty of this farm where I live right now fills my heart with, "wow..."

The road untaken - because it was cold and I wanted to go back to where it was warm. Another day, klein Padjie, another day.

Het ek toe hierdie kant toe gestap? Bad translation: "Have I closed this lace closed walked?"
If you're still here, help please. What owl is this?! (Yes, I know my digital zoom is phenomenal especially in combination with my ultra-steady hand)
This is a place where I post on various things, from something that inspires me, to sketches and paintings etc... whether it be a spontaneous photography session in the mountains, or a quote that hit me right in the feels.
